The Whitsunday Islands National Park contains 74 gorgeous islands and the largest of these is Whitsunday Island. This island’s greatest feature – Whitehaven Beach – is seven whole kilometres of pristine white sands fringed by clear, reef-filled water and is in fact, the most photographed beach in Australia! Experience the beach from its northern end to its southern end, on the day cruise that gives you more time to explore than any other.

With departures from either Port of Airlie or Hamilton Island, you’ll hop aboard your comfortable air-conditioned cruise vessel at around 7 am for your day of fun on Australia’s loveliest beach. After a scenic cruise to Whitsunday Island, you’ll dock at the southern end, where you will be notified of the times and locations of the activities you’ll be able to experience throughout the day, such as the guided bushwalk and the visit to Hill Inlet.
On the Whitehaven-based vessel, you can embark on a relaxing cruise that will take you all the way to the northern Hill Inlet area, passing by the entire length of Whitehaven Beach along the way. From your docking point, you will be guided along the traditional path of the Indigenous Ngaro people, learning of their history along the way. You’ll arrive at the awe-inspiring lookout, where you can soak up the atmosphere and take pictures of this perfect paradise. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative displays, educating you on the history, flora and fauna of the Island. All levels of fitness are catered to on this walk.
Returning to the southern end of Whitehaven, you have the choice to do almost anything you want. Whether you feel like relaxing on the beach, taking another walk or go for a dip in the inviting water – the choice is yours. A delicious lunch is served on the beach for you to enjoy and Cruise staff are always on hand for beach games and information on the southern shore of the beach. There are also bathroom facilities nearby.
On your return journey, you’ll enjoy afternoon tea while admiring the views, before being returned to your original pickup location.

Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island
The cruise departs daily from Port of Airlie (7.00 am) and Hamilton Island (8.20 am). Changes may occur due to flight schedule changes and other factors.
Please bring swimwear, towel, protective clothing, hat, sunscreen lotion and a light jacket or sweater during the cooler months.
You may also wish to bring money / credit card for any optional purchases.
