Be amazed by the stunning beauty of Lamington National Park and Mt Tamborine as you experience a Tree Top Walk, dine on a balcony overlooking the MacPherson Ranges, visit an Alpaca Farm and delight in exploring the quaint village of Mt Tamborine.
With pickups from Brisbane by 8.45am, you’ll be driven through the town of Canungra – with its scenic valley views – to the cute little town of Tambourine Mountain. While passing through, you’ll see the Kokoda Army Barracks, which is a Jungle Warfare Training Centre that uses the Canungra area, thanks to its jungle-like forests.
Once you arrive at Tambourine Mountain, you’ll have time to explore this charming village, which is full of art galleries, boutique stores (why not try some delicious homemade fudge or confectionary at Granny Mac’s?), cute cafes and wineries. Then, you’ll enjoy a gentle 1000 metre climb through lush subtropical rainforest to the Treetop Walk, taking in the emerald hues of ancient trees entwined with vines, buzzing insects, colourful birds and glimpsing wallabies, koalas and other wildlife.
The locally famous O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat is located at the centre of the spellbinding World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. At O'Reilly's Mountainview Cafeteria, you’ll enjoy a lunch that matches the awe-inspiring views across the mountains. Spend a couple of of hours enjoying the views and peaceful atmosphere, then after your fulfilling day, you’ll be returned to your original pick-up point.
