Start your day by travelling from the Gold Coast through the historic Canungra Valley and it’s Land Warfare countryside. This area is a jungle training camp for our soldiers of today, and was also used by our courageous WW11 soldiers.
Take a yummy morning tea (own cost) stop at the Alpaca Farm, where you'll have spectacular views of the McPherson Ranges and get to meet these unique animals.
Visit the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park and O’Reilly’s mountain which is home to the well-known O'Reilly's Rainforert Retreat. Walk along their Tree Top Canopy Walk, a suspended bridge 160m long and 16m high in and above the tree canopy. Learn about the delicate rainforest eco system and it’s Strangler Figs with your very own nature guide in the easy graded rainforest walks suitable for all ages.
Hear about the fascinating history of the area and the heroic journey of Bernard O’Reilly in finding and rescuing the only 2 survivors of the 1937 Stinson plane crash.
We then head down to O’Reilly’s Vineyard exploring the beauty of the Canungra Valley along the way. Enjoy a sample of our finest wines (own cost), and stretch out by the creek... You’ll be glad you did!
